Planning and process are key
The number one reason project budgets and timelines go off the rails is poor planning. With OakWood, we start with your needs and vision. This gets supported by a well honed planning process.
Here’s what you can expect when we start your renovation:
- Concept design process – we start by brainstorming different options and “what if” scenarios. Then we show you what your project looks like with a professional 3D design before we start building
- OakWood’s budget pricing is linked directly to the concept design process – this ensures that when you make changes to the concept, you also know the costs (failure to do this is the number one reason that over 95% of all architecturally designed projects are over budget and 50% never get built)
- The OAKPlan™ provides you with a detailed roadmap for your entire project – by planning properly, we accurately anticipate all costs and timelines
You are in control
- We may discover a structural problem during the renovation or you change something
- We will supply you with a written quote for any change before proceeding or giving you the opportunity to say “yes, go ahead” or “no, we’ll deal with this in another way”
- Otherwise we will move forward without that change: you are in complete control
No extra bill
- We don’t give you a big extra bill at the end of the job for something that may have been discussed but never formally quoted and agreed to in writing
